What does it look like to have a relationship with God, to love God?

What does it mean to love God?

When I love somebody, I want to be with them, hear what they have to say, listen, do things for them that they would like me to do, please them, and just be with them. Lord, may I be in You and You are in the Father and the Father is in You. You are the vine, I am a branch that needs You in order to live.

When I am with someone that I love, it matters not what situation we get into, it is always a joy. Hard times are not so hard, fun times are more fun, joy is multiplied, sorrow is divided, and life is tremendous. Lord, I want to be with You more than anything. You are all I need, all I want, all I desire. Please let me go with You today - no matter where we go, help me to know that I am with You.

When I love somebody, it is a joy to hear what is on his/her heart. Father, help me to hear and listen and obey You--for it is LIFE! The abundant life!

May I please You today, Lord. I need You. I surrender my heart, life, soul, and all that I am to You. Father, glorify Your name.
