How do Jesus and the Father relate, if that is how Jesus and I am to relate?

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank You for this beautiful day! Thank You for Samuel's smiles that light up my face, too. Lord, I do not want to wish that life would be easier, I just want to be better, as someone once said, "Do not wish life to be easier; wish to be better." Augh! I do not need my life to be smooth sailing all the time; I need You as the Captain of my ship and I'll not worry about the waves. Therefore, it must be that I have not spent time with you. I need the fruits of the Spirit (love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control), which means, I need the Spirit. Please fill me with the Spirit. Help me to see this life from Your perspective.

Please forgive me for my sins: selfishness, pride, laziness--all my sin boils down to these, basically. My flesh! Remember from yesterday? -If I am to eat His flesh and drink His blood, I must pass a sentence of death on my flesh.-

 Even when it hurts, God?

"Yes, my child. I am always with you. You never go through good or bad without Me."

What about when I am right and am being wronged?

"Even then, my grace is sufficient for you."

What about my joy in life? What about how I am supposed to be treated?

"Seek my kingdom first and my righteousness and all these things will be added to you."

Lord, walking with You is really coming alive to me again. Thank You.

"I love you, my child, and I've been waiting."
